Queen’s Cottage offers a range of accommodation styles. The “Queen’s Cottage” was named following the Queen’s stay in 1963 when she opened Murray 1 Power Station for the Snowy Mountains Hydro Electric Authority. With 5 x 4 star and 2 x 3 ½ star studio apartments as well as two cabins and two houses, there is a range of accommodation options to suit everyone. All accommodation styles overlook the peaceful town of Khancoban with picturesque views of Lake Khancoban and the Snowy Mountains.

Cossettini’s B & B is well known for its warm hospitality and was a finalist NSW High Country awards 2005 for excellence as best Bed and Breakfast. Four rooms are available; one rated four stars, including an apartment. It is located approximately six kilometres from Khancoban in a rural setting with spectacular views of the mountains.

Eurabbie B & B is located on the western boundary of Kosciuszko National Park, on a 16 acre property which has been progressively timbered and revegetated. The room available for visitors has panoramic views of Khancoban pondage and surrounding hills. Ideal as a retreat from a busy lifestyle, complete privacy can be assured. Three and Half Star Rated, The Khancoban Rose holiday units are located opposite the historic Lady Hudson Rose Gardens and close to the shopping centre. All units consist of two bed rooms, three units sleep four (double & two singles), and two units sleep 5 (double & 3 singles). The units all have kitchen and lounge areas and are fully self contained with all facilities provided. Gas heating is available for the winter and air-conditioning for the summer. There is also a covered gas BBQ area located on the hill behind the units. Khancoban Rose Holiday Units pride themselves on providing clean, comfortable and affordable family accommodation, and are the most recommended family units in the Upper Murray.

Accommodation is lodge style with a fireplace, kitchen and bbq facilities. From the balcony, there are stunning views across the lake spillway. Challenge yourself on some of the most spectacular and technical roads in Australia, before settling in to a weekend of relaxed entertainment at the Khancoban Motorcycle Festival.

The festival will kick off at 2.45pm on Saturday 3rd March with a special curtain raising performance by Khancoban Public School. This will be followed by music until midnight from “The Burners”, “The Wayne Ryder band” and “3 on the Tree”. All of the bands are well known around the live music scene, and will play from a wide range of rock and pop covers, from the 60’s through to today. A bar and food stalls will also be on site for the event.

The festival is being held in the parkland on the corner of Scammel Street and Mitchell Ave, adjacent to the Khancoban Pool. The Khancoban community bus will be in operation throughout the event to transport festival goers to and from their accommodation.

On Sunday morning a barbeque breakfast will be available from 8.00am at the festival site. Show n Shine entries will assemble at 8.30am, at the Khancoban shopping centre carpark, and the winner will be announced at 9.30am. Festival tickets are $20 and are available on the day. Children under 18 are free. A portion of the festival’s profits will be donated to the Corryong hospital.
